

Summer 2025 Academic Program
Grades TK-6
The Summer Academic Program is an opportunity for currently enrolled eligible District students to expand their learning, funded by the ELOP Grant provided by the state of California. Classes are taught by our highly qualified San Diego Unified teachers at select elementary sites from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for 20 days.

The following summer programs are funded by the California Department of Education ELOP Grant and our district will offer priority enrollment to eligible unduplicated TK-6 students, their siblings, and students with an IEP or 504 who meet any of the following criteria:

Homeless and/or foster youth
-
Low income (eligible for free/reduced meals per LCFF)
-
English learners
-
​Siblings of all of the above
-
Students with IEP or 504
​
Families of eligible students will receive an email and text notification sent to the primary contact information on file beginning Monday, February 10, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. The priority enrollment window is open from Monday, February 10, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. and closes on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 9:59 p.m.

Join us for parent office hours every Tuesday February 4 - June 3 from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. via zoom for support!

What to expect:

An individualized link will be sent via email and text message to the primary contact in PowerSchool inviting you to register/enroll each student

Automatic approval of selected program for eligible students TK-6 into the Summer Academic program after completing the registration process

​​Due to reduced grant funding space is extremely limited and priority has been given to above eligible students per ELOP grant. Below please find resources for additional tuition based summer programs.

Not Eligible:

Students enrolled in Charter Schools and/or outside of San Diego Unified School District are not eligible for our Summer Programs.

Students planning to enroll in the 2025-2026 school year are not eligible to participate.

Students participating in the State Pre-School Program are not eligible to participate.
Grades 9-12
Credit Recovery
Program Description
Summer Credit Recovery is designed for high school students in grades 9-12 who need to recover credits that are required for graduation. Credit Recovery is different than credit acceleration.

Program Eligibility & Enrollment
All currently enrolled district students grades 9-12 for the 2024-2025 academic year who are credit deficient are eligible for Credit Recovery.
​
Please work directly with your school counselor to enroll.
